The track and field season came to its conclusion Saturday with two new school records. Daniel Harrell competed in the shot put and discus, Zack Brown ran the 3200, and Katarina Maric sprinted the 300 meter hurdles at San Diego Section CIF Finals. Katarina ran a gutsy and fierce the entire 300 meters as she deftly negotiated each hurdle with one of her top times for the year. Daniel finished 7th in both the shot put and discus which was just outside of the medals. His discus throw of 137'6" extended his own school record by three feet. Zack ran negative splits in the 3200 with a necessarily blistering final lap to secure the coveted school record title in the 3200 with a time of 10:04.36. He dug deep.
