As of this morning, we were ranked #1 (Power Rankings) in the State of California for all High school teams including Division I, which we will be next year.  As a coach, I’m incredibly proud of all the work these student-athletes and their families have invested and I’m thankful for all of the support from the PRS faculty.  We still have another month of the season so no promises, but we will continue to strive to represent the Firebirds.

Coach Trevino

The PRS hockey club took the show on the road for a 6-game showcase in Las Vegas.   The overall record was 5-1 with several players getting looks from higher levels such as colleges and Junior A programs.  Coach Trevino’s top highlights included Patrick O’Donnell playing strong in the pipes and the underclassmen that stepped up to the Varsity level scoring points.  This includes, Olin Silverman, Riley Frost and Tyler Sheridan all who played great Hockey.  The Club represented the school in a fantastic fashion.  

This Saturday, the Firebirds take on St. John Boscoe for first place in the league standings.  Game time is 6:50pm at Carlsbad Icetown and we would like to see a packed house.  Also a reminder that the Hockey club is hosting a Toys for Tots toy drive at the game.  Please bring new unwrapped toys to donate.
